That's why it's so important that you not forget your Lifecraft password. With Lifecraft and iCloud, it's impossible for anyone else to access your data. Some companies use their own servers to sync your information. They promise not to access your information unless it's needed for "technical support" or they're "legally required" to do so. To use end-to-end encryption in iCloud, you must turn on two-factor authentication for your Apple ID. iCloud supports End-to-End Encryption which is the highest level of data security. Your data is protected with a key derived from information unique to your device, combined with your device passcode, which only you know. To be truly secure, all links in the communication chain must be strong. That's why Lifecraft uses iCloud for syncing. This allows Lifecraft to automatically sync data between your different devices. The Lifecraft encryption key is also synced to iCloud.iCloud then encrypts the data a second time (so it's actually double-encrypted while it's in iCloud).It's impossible to intercept and view your data while it's being transmitted to iCloud. When Lifecraft syncs, it sends encrypted data to iCloud.Lifecraft generates an encryption key that is used to encrypt your data while it's sitting on your device.If you do lock Lifecraft, you have to manually enter your password (or use TouchID or FaceID) before you can view your Lifecraft data. If you don't lock Lifecraft, it will retrieve the password from the Keychain. This password is saved to the system Keychain, which is encrypted. When you first run Lifecraft, it asks you to choose a password.Lifecraft is built on an industrial strength Realm database. ![]() The result is a true zero knowledge encryption system.
